I want to learn card magic, where should I start? (Beginner)
The classic beginner book is The Royal Road to Card Magic by Jean Hugard and Frederick Braué. If books are not your style, Royal Road has a companion DVD showing and explaining the sleights in the book - Royal Road To Card Magic by R. Paul Wilson. I’d recommend getting the book and video when starting out. Read the lesson, then reinforce your education with the video. This video is not to be confused with the cheaper and inferior product by Magic Makers. The video by R. Paul Wilson is also often on sale at llepub.com.

Alternatively you could start with Card College by Roberto Giobbi. Card College is a series of 5 books that will last you all the way from beginner to intermediate (or even advanced) performer. The book is more expensive than Royal Road, so start with Vol 1 and buy the next when you have mastered the first. Card College also has a companion video for the first two books - Here: https://www.robertogiobbi.com/site/product/card-college-12-personal-instruction-the-complete-course/

Check out Card College if you haven't already. It's great from beginner to advanced. Some other books that every intermediate card magician should own are:
Close-Up Card Magic by Harry Lorayne
272 pages full of astounding effects, routines, ideas by Harry Lorayne and some of his friends, including some of the best minds in Card Magic: Dai Vernon, Francis Carlyle, Johnny Benzais, Frank Garcia and others. This is widely considered to be one of the most important books ever written on card magic.
Stars of Magic
If you have not read and learned the magic contained in this book you have no business calling yourself a close-up magician.
I've done card magic for decades, and I need something to challenge myself. What should I get? (Advanced)
